Woman writer Leila Slimani wons the
13 th Bouzghiba-Awards
The Franco-Moroccan woman writer
Leila Slimani is the winner of Bouzghiba-Awards 2017. She is awarded for his
punch and charisma. She follows Peter
Brook (B-Awards 2016) , Ennio Morricone (2015) and
Plantu (2014).
Leila was born 3 October
1981 in Rabat . She went to Paris to study political science .In 2014 she published her first novel ‘’Dans le jardin de l’ogre’’
(In the Garden of the Ogre)
The ’’Bouzghgiba-Awards” is an
original cultural prize which was created in 2005 by a Moroccan artist and
critic-movie Razak Abderazzak . The creator of Bouzghiba’s avatar launched this
cultural award in order to encourage humoristic performances
around the World. The trophy is
representing a painting made by him.
Razak who supervises this annual event is a writer. He published several
books in Canada (1), Morocco (4) and French republic (4). He wrote three screen-plays and two drama-plays.
Concerning the historiography of
this prize, he published the three parts of a
monographic book in order to give more
details in presenting the winners. Art painting and bibliophilia are the
two fundamentals characteristics that distinguish this cultural and
anti-materialist prize.
