The 16thB-Awards is attributed  to the Moroccan humorist Ahmed Senoussi  (alias Bziz)  . Razak the initiator  of this cultural prize and the creator of the Bouzghiba’s avatar  explains the reason of  this choice.

“Bziz is a living legend in the world of humor. He would be the first winner of the B-Awards but we had to prove the international character before awarding great artists like him . Senoussi has humor in blood. Before  going on stage of theatre he was attracted by hilarious gags. He formed with Houcine Benyaz a legendary duet. It was so famous in eighties. After their separation in 1991  he continued on his artistic way alone. He has an extraordinary ability to transform banal words in spectacular subjects. He ears a living in selling his paintings work and performances out of his country. With this symbolic award,, Ahmed Senoussi  joins honorably the talented creators as Patricia Piccinini (B-Awards 2005), Theo Jansen( B-A 2007),  Zhang Yimou (B-A 2008),  Ahmed Fouad Najm (B-A 2012) , Plantu (B-A 2014),  Ennio Morricone (B-A 2015),  Peter Brook (B-A 2016) and  Marcel Khalifa  (B-A 2019). His brilliant achievement will be detailed in the 4th   part of monographic book dedicated to the prize.  Congratulations!”

The ’’Bouzghgiba-Awards” is an original cultural prize which was created   in 2005 by the Moroccan artist, writer and critic-movie Razak Abderazzak. This original creator  launched this cultural award in order to encourage humoristic performances around the World. The trophy is represented by a painting made by him and inspired by the life of the winner.

Art painting and bibliophilia are the two fundamentals characteristics that distinguish this anti-materialist prize.  3 Tomes have been published under the same label, including one in France. Razak has published several books (7 in France, 1 in Canada and 5 in Morocco). His last art exhibition was titled “Haikus and painting”. Channels TV and newspapers have talked positively about this singular cultural event.
